<Description>
<DescriptionText><text>
The clamp_offset parameter controls the distance that the trailing edge clamps
overlap the plate by.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
To increase the overlap that the clamps have on the plate, make this number
smaller. To decrease the overlap, make this number bigger.

<Notes>
<DescriptionText><text>
The coff value specifies the sum of the leading edge (LE) position (specified by
the le_pos parameter) + the distance between center-line of the LE and
trailing edge (TE) actuators in encoder ticks. This value is converted to mm and
added to the plate main-scan distance to determine the location for placing or
retrieving the TE clamps.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
This specifies the amount of offset to add to the plate length in order to get
the position where to put the trailing edge clamps. In other words, if you move
the drum to this position then the surface of the registration pins will line up
under the trailing edge clamps, minus the overlap the clamps should have on the
plate.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
To get the drum position for where to put the trailing edge clamps, the
firmware will convert the plate length to "tach ticks" (36,000 ticks per drum
revolution) and add it to this offset parameter.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
So this parameter really does two things: It tells the firmware the starting
point for positioning the drum for clamping a plate, and it also sets the
distance that the magnetic trailing edge clamps overlap the plate.
</text></DescriptionText>
<DescriptionText><text>
Note on Trendsetter_400/800 only, that adjusting this parameter effects the
calibration of the plate measuring sensor on the load ramp. This is because
coff affects the trailing edge position (te_pos). Te_pos is used in the loading
code to determine the length of the plate. If you change coff, make sure that
you don't get plate too big or plate too small errors and that you can
correctly detect plates that are the wrong size. If not, adjust soff.

<DescriptionText><text>
For old Creo drum encoder, use 14250 as default.
